This work is about exposure and a resting wall. It involves transforming a dorm room and living next to a steep precipice.

“I, Lai chih-sheng, have in mind a month-long performance installation. I will demolish the west wall (685cm by 288cm by 24cm) of a dorm room that is 15.85 meters from the ground, and then recreate the wall in the same dimensions and lay it 15.85 meters from the dorm building in the grass. Then I will live in the dorm room with the open west wall for a month without any protection from the outside. The performance installation will take place from 12:00am April 20, 2002 to 12:00am May 20, 2002.”
